ServiceMaster was hired to support them in the process of gaining re-accreditation status with JCAHO. I was the on-site consultant who worked with administration and the 19 different union shops in installing maintenance tracking systems, training employees and implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Accomplishments: Installed Computer network infrastructure to support new CMMS system. Trained approximately 110 Maintenance trades workers in the proper use and

documentation of maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance scheduling. Worked with ServiceMaster programmers to make modifications to their

proprietary maintenance software to better meet the functional needs of the Plant Operations Department for regulatory documentation needs.

Was able to reduce staffing levels in the maintenance department by 29 FTE’s (through attrition) while increasing the response time and efficiency of the Maintenance Department.

Improved cross-union communications and task accomplishments designed to improve equipment down time and improve efficiency.

Acquired successful Accreditation Status with the JCAHO and support by the Department of Health of Cook County.

I have since let this certification expire, because I wanted to get back to direct management of people.
