Dayton was born on January 26, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Has 3 siblings. His parents are Gwen and Bruce Dayton Graduated from Yale in 1969 with a psychology

degree He was married and divorced two times He has 2 sons from his first marriage

Political Life

Taught 9th grade science He lived with a family in public housing to learn

about their “unfair” situations. Worked 4 years at a social service agency 2010 he was elected governor of Minnesota Sworn in as governor January 3rd, 2011 and was

elected to represent Minnesota in the 2000 U.S. Senate
