Coin and Medallion Design

This relief was created as a coin design in a workshop at the

American Numismatic Association Summer 2013

It is based on an Alexander the Great coin

The technique of reverse plaster relief carving

is used in coin design

The plaster is used template

in creating coins or medallions at a scale of 1/12

This can vary according to the size of the finished medallion
