HHT, 1 st Squadron 71 st Cavalry The REAPER Volume IV, Issue IV Fort Drum, NY 06 March 2012 FROM THE COMMANDER’S SADDLE CPT LEVI THOMPSON Family and Friends of Reaper Troop, Still a couple more months left of winter, and this month your Soldiers will be enjoying some quality Fort Drum Weather. As you should all know by now, March will be spent in the field as the Troop moves forward on its training path, while supporting the rest of the Squadron as it becomes a lethal force to be reckoned with. I ask that you keep an eye on the Squadron Facebook page for training updates, as training over the weekend may become a necessity to meet end state objectives. You should know the Thursday prior to that weekend if we will continue to train. I would like to thank all of you who came out a participated in the Kiddy Spur Ride, which was a huge success. If you have not seen pictures, please check both the Squadron and Brigade Facebook page. I hope that all of you that participated enjoyed yourselves as your young ones were officially made part of the “Cavalry” family by earning there “Silver Spurs.” Please check the “HHT CDR “Reaper 6”” Facebook page for more photos : http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/HHT- CDR-Reaper-6/207479719300754 . We have posted multiple photos albums of your Soldiers training, earning awards, being promoted, as well as other events. Next month should include another album of your Soldiers enjoying the Fort Drum weather in March. A friendly reminder, HHT is still looking for a couple of Co-leaders to come forward or an FRG Leader as well or some Key Callers. Our FRG is only as strong as you make it. The Treasury is also an open position needed to be filled. As well as some Key Callers. The next Steering Committee Meeting will be on April 11 th at 1000am in the Squadron Conference Room, those interested in being co-leaders, I invite you to come and partake. On March 15 th at 1130 my wife, Erin Thompson will be doing a lunch at Olive Garden. This is a friendly get together to enjoy some time together and get know some of the other spouses within the Troop. Family and Friends of Reaper Troop, Still a

couple more months left of winter, and this

month your Soldiers will be enjoying some

quality Fort Drum Weather. As you should all

know by now, March will be spent in the field
