We usually get angry about things that bother us. We get angry if someone makes fun of our clothes, or if someone tells our secrets, or if they don’t pick us to be on their team in kickball. If we act on that kind

of anger it is a sin because it’s all about ourselves. Good anger is allabout God. Read the following situations. Each one represents a goodreason to get angry. Discuss with your group how you should respondto your anger in each situation. Be prepared to share your answers.

1. A new girl comes to your Wednesday night Life class who sits in awheelchair. In between activities, your friend Sara decides tomake fun of the new girl by pulling her chair up right beside herand pretending she’s in a wheelchair too. The new girl soonwheels herself out of the room crying.

2. In school, your class starts studying a brand new subject—

history! Your teacher begins by saying that the history of allpeople begins with monkeys and apes. She says that peoplewere once just like them, but slowly over time changed into whatwe are today. Your friend Jeff suddenly raises his hand and says,“But teacher… that’s not what the Bible says. It says that Godcreated the first man and woman Himself—Adam and Eve.” Yourteacher then goes on to explain that the Bible isn’t true and thatyou just can’t believe what it says.

3. Brianna let Tristan borrow a really good Xbox game. Severalmonths later you go to Tristan’s house and see the game by the TV.When you ask Tristan about it he laughs and says, “Brianna forgot

who she gave it to. I’ll never have to give it back.”

P: Prayer

Pray for God to show you all what makes Him angry. Ask Him to teachyou to get upset about what upsets Him. Also take prayer requests.
