Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance in Behavioral Health Care Reafrmed The Dietetics in Developmental and Psychiatric Disorders (currently the Behavioral Health Nutrition) Dietetic Practice Group (DPG) and American Dietetic Association (currently the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Regis- tered Dietitians (Generalist, Specialty, Advanced) in Behavioral Health Care, originally published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association in April 2006, have been reafrmed at this time and their review date has been extended until April 2016. The Behavioral Health Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group (DPG) will be utilizing the Academy of Nutrition and Dieteticsrevised 2012 Standards of Practice (SOP) and Standards of Professional Performance (SOPP) for Registered Di- etitians or Registered Dietitian Nutri- tionists. Latest ACEND Accreditation Decisions Published Online The Accreditation Council for Educa- tion in Nutrition and Dietetics is the Academys accrediting agency for edu- cation programs preparing students for careers as Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians, Registered. ACEND establishes and enforces ac- creditation standards that ensure the quality and continued improvement of nutrition and dietetics education programs. The accreditation decisions made at the most recent ACEND meeting are available at http://www. eatright.org/ACEND/content.aspx?id¼ 7829 and include status of programs that have received candidacy for accreditation, full accreditation, pro- bationary accreditation, and with- drawal from accreditation.
