The book jacket promises a collection of articles and commentary on the "Fry Another Way System which "is a philosophy and technology focused on people who find it difficult to learn .... " and includes (a) "an organizational structure for all the decisions that have to be made in designing powerful procedures" and (b) "a large number of instructional procedures..." (p. 1). The prospective audience is presumably those individuals who would like to know more about this system that Gold has been talking and teaching about for the last several years. Such readers will be disappointed; Gold's system is never directly presented. What is presented is a collection of reprinted research articles, position papers, literature reviews, and even a little poetry, all authored or co-authored by Marc Gold. The book might provide interesting insight to readers who have attended his workshops or read his recently published training manual (Gold, 1980). The current volume is a well written comprehensive review of neuropsychodiagnostic techniques. Chapters include those on soft neurological signs, minimal brain dysfunction, epilepsy, aphasia and dysphasia, schizophrenia and mental retardation. Also, there are a number of chapters oriented toward the practicing psychotherapist which include in- formation on consultation, testing and interviewing with respect to neuropsychodiagnosis. The book is fairly technical and, therefore, would seem most suited to the professional 99
