Mandala Loosely translate to mean "circle", Mandala is far more than a simple shape. This geometric quilt balances two fundamental units in a unique circular design with no curved piecing. Created by the Running with Scissors Quilters, half square triangles and V Block units of different sizes are combined in harmony to create your very own Mandala. Other Class Supplies: • Studio 180 Design Mandala Pattern • Studio 180 Design V-Block Trimmer • Studio 180 Design Tucker Trimmer I • Invisi-Grip recommended for back of tools Quilters Magic Wand - highly recommended • 6” x 12” and/or 6” x 24” Ruler Cutting Mat & Rotary Cutter (with new blade) • Fabric pre-cut for class see cutting instructions • Sewing machine, thread and bobbins • General sewing kit scissors, pins, seam ripper, machine needles, etc. ; Fabric Requirements: (Colors refer to pictured quilt) Fabric Yardage Focus (gold) 1 yard Accent (purple print) 1 2/3 yards Background (white) 2 ¾ yards Outer Border (purple floral) 1 yard Binding 2/3 yard Backing 4 yards Pre-Class Cutting Instructions (WOF = width of fabric, approx. 40”) Pre-cutting must be done prior to class to ensure maximum instructional and sewing time.
