Welcome reception
We invite you to attend and participate in the Institute’s Annual National Conference here in Perth between Thursday September 4 and Friday September 5, 2008.
The theme for this year’s conference is Making Connections – Exploring how Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning are making connections between People, Places and Goods and Services.
The conference will focus on how we can better connect our transport network system between places and users to take us into the future in a manner that accommodates competing needs.
In addition to the main conference activities, 3 pre-conference workshops on Wednesday September 3 will be offered. These are:
• Austroads Guides update
• Cycling Western Style
• The Practical Side of Providing for People with Disabilities (Universal Access Workshop)
The quality of the presenters is of a very high order and the diverse range of papers relating to Making Connections will provide a stimulating and rewarding conference environment.
See you at the Conference in Perth in September.
The Conference Organising Committee.
