THE MAJOR ARCANA:

The Major Arcana cards (Zero - Twenty One) represent classic archetypal forces that supply the direction and necessary energy to best deal with the situations or questions being addressed. They are the messengers and teachers of the energies found at their levels.

The Major Arcana or Trump cards all have very different roles, or functions and can be viewed as forces or personalities unto themselves. Within these archetypes are the characters that have been the driving forces in the creation of all religions, both ancient and modern.

Different aspects of the same universal forces are held within the Trump cards and the underlying message always remains the same: The purpose of the Major Arcana trumps, in both meditation and divination, is to give very specific direction to a particular situation or question. The Minor Arcana cards generally reflect events or people impacting the questioner, while the Major Arcana cards give direction as to how best deal with the situation being examined.Each Major Arcana trump contains a world of meaning; and by absorbing their images we each bring our own elementary insights to the process. Once there is a grasp of the basic principles behind the process, you can derive and understand the rich variety of possibilities carried by each card.

The getting and spending part of life; the issues and questions regarding emotional, physical and practical matters.

The second ten Trumps focus on deeper spiritual issues:

Encompassing themes of leaving, loss, transformation and choices which in turn allows us to embrace changes and move to higher understanding.
