This month's Madonna Herald features these stories and more:

Students needed for alternative spring breaks

Community invited to daily Masses

Student Senate elections in April

Movie reviews of Split, Silence and 20th Century Women

Mark your calendar! for the exhibit We

Don't Want Them: Race and Housing in Metro-

politan Detroit, 1900-1968, that will be on dis-

play in the Franciscan Center, Monday

through Friday, Feb. 20-24. Part of the

Race2Equity Community Engagement Cam-

paign, the exhibit helps viewers understand

how the insidious effects of residential segrega-

tion, have created two distinct and co-existing

paradigms–racial exclusivity in white communi-

ties and racial inequality in African American

communities. The exhibit has toured throughout Metro Detroit since 2010, and

serves as a tool to begin looking deeper into the issues of racial equity in Metro

Detroit.

In addition to the exhibit, there will be a Crossing Boundary Lines panel discussion

and reception, Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Gathering Space, when panelists will

examine where people live, work and travel as it relates to themes addressed by

the exhibit.

STAY TUNED!
