LEARNING LOG

What is your Child Learning About thisTerm?

In response to parent feedback from last year’s schoolreview, by next week parents will receive an email fromtheir child’s classroom teacher outlining what studentsare working on this term. Classrooms are busy placesand Central teachers capitalise on the time we spend withour students by planning action-packed and engaginglearning experiences for our students.

These emails will follow roughly the same format, listing‘the big idea’ for each subject as well as outlining theconcepts students should ‘know’ by the end of the termand skills that students should be able to ‘do’. Theattached example is for this term’s Year 6 Science Uniton Natural Disasters.

The purpose of these emails is simply to let parents inon what we’re doing in classrooms as well as provideinformation that can be used to help your child with theirlearning at home if you so choose. If you don’t receive anemail by the end of next week, please contact the officeso that we may update your details.
