• Process is under way to obtain certification for other Emporiums also
Silk Mark / Handloom Mark Certification
SILK MARK
To add value to silk products of Mrignayani, Silk Mark Certification from the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India has already obtained.
HANDLOOM MARK
Mrignayani applied for Handloom mark for its handloom cloths.
Membership of Export Organizations
Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation
The membership provided the access to data for export purpose.
EPCH
Membership for Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts.
Design Development Project for Wood Craft of Sheopur Kalan
• More than 100 prototypes were developed under this projects, which was financially supported by DC (Handicrafts)
• This helped in meeting the changing demand of customers
Rajeev Gandhi Shilpi Swasthya Beema Yojana
• M.P. Laghu Udyog Nigam Ltd. spent Rs. 5.80 Lakhs as Insurance premium on behalf of 5000 artisans in the state.
• Target to cover 5,000/- artisans during the year.
Participated in Indian Handicrafts & Gift Fair in New Delhi
This event helped in tapping the overseas market
Received enquiries from Colombia SA, and China for Gwalior Durries(Printed) and Batik
Indigo and Bagh from Atlanta, USA
Organized Participation of Madhya Pradesh Government in IITF 2011
Won Silver Medal for excellent display and design of the Pavilion.
Organized Seminars on E-Governance
Organized two Seminars in Bhopal and Gwalior respectively to make awareness about the e-gov. various Govt. Deptts./Organizations participated alongwith local IT units.

Creating Team Mrignayani
To create efficient, effective, determined and taks taking individuals to accelerate the growth momentum at Mrignayani
Renovating Showrooms
• In ever-changing scenario of Mall culture showrooms need to be renovated to meet customers' expectation
• Jabalpur Emporium inaugurated after its renovation Rewa Emporium are in process of renovation.
Encouraging Showroom Employees
Various activities need to be undertaken to improve the morale of foot-soldiers of Mrignayani
• Training programme for effective selling teachinques
• Visits to craft clusters to have first hand information
• Good uniforms to make the staff distinct from others
• Timely promotion and incentives
• Need to develop a policy for employees on ad-hoc basis
• Implementation of reasonable incentive scheme
The Product / Focus
• Due to division of the state, major chunk of Handicrafts went to the new state
• However, Madhya Pradesh is strong in handloom weaving and also in printing
• The need of the hour is to fine tune the products in keeping with market demand
Resource Chain
• Resource chain is totally decentralized
• This will help in faster replenishment of the stocks required
• Sharing of resource information among various emporiums through Internet
Design Intervention
• Need regular design intervention for different products categories
• Regular design workshops to be conducted for artisans
Customer Relationship
A pro-active Customer Feedback Information System to be activated and follow-up with incorporating improvements in systems
Marketing Strategy
• Marketing plan for the whole year be drawn at local emporium level
• Participation in exhibitions, fairs and exposition to be increased
Product Management System
• Effective Product Management System needs to be undertaken to reduce spoilage and losses
• Rack life of products should be increased with proper packing
• Shop soiled material may be turned into new products by adding some new design/value. NIFT or some senior designers may help in developing this into system
• Quick disposal of unsold and damaged material to reduce inventory
Plan for the Year - 2012-13
The following activities are proposed to be
undertaken in year 2012-13•To participate in six international fairs.
•To organize two market survey and studies abroad.
•To organize three Reverse buyer seller meet in Bhopal, Gwalior and Indore.
• To organize at least 80 exhibitions at various emporium levels.
• To extend base of shop-in-shop outlets in Banglore and other cities.
