With larger classes it becomes difficult to keep tabs on whos contributed what

PROS CONS
Very slick design and HTML customisation means students can build professional looking portfolios
collaboration is possible but not as instant as in PB Works
Free, lots of online support resources, supports embedded rich media
Encourages works posted to be separated from original context without proper attribution to author
light touch moderation & easy to manage as everyone is responsible for their own page
Requires ‘Disqus’ account to enable extended comments
Encourages peer critique, and helps develop students visual vocabulary
Very scalable for larger class sizes
