If you cancel your course less than five days beforethe start of the course there will be a charge of 25%of the course fee.

If you are planning to study in Australia, UK, New Zealand, Europe, USA, Canada, Malaysiaor Singapore, or are planning to migrateto English-speaking countries, you will probablyneed to include an IELTS (International EnglishLanguage Testing System) test score with yourapplication.

The IELTS Test is in four parts:

• Listening (30 minutes) • Reading (60 minutes) • Writing (60 minutes) • Speaking (11 - 14 minutes)

The instructors on IELTS Preparation courses arenative speaker teachers from Australia, the UnitedKingdom, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.

All IALF teachers have recognised postgraduate qualifications in Teaching English to Speakers of OtherLanguages and several years experience in preparingIndonesian students for the IELTS test.

The IALF has a large student resource centre with18 computers for accessing digitised audio and videomaterials and 4 multi-media computers with Englishlanguage learning software. Resources include a largecollection of the most up-to-date IELTS practicematerials, as well as over 700 titles for practicing Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

There is a 16-booth computerised language laboratory,a 20-booth computer laboratory, cable television andwifi.

The Resource Centre is open to IALF students: • Monday to Friday 07.00 - 19.00 • Saturday 08.00 - 14.00

IALF Jakarta is one of the largest IELTS test centre in Indonesia. The test centre is centrally located ina state of the art, modern building in Jalan RasunaSaid and regular off-site tests are held in KelapaGading, Pluit, Kebon Jeruk and Alam Sutera.

The IALF also has IELTS test centres in Surabaya and Denpasar and conducts testing in places throughout Indonesia such as Depok, Bogor, Yogyakarta, Malang, Medan, Makassar, Kupang, Jayapura, Dili (Timor Leste), Kampung Inggris Pare (Kediri), Palembang, Padang, Jambi, Pekanbaru, Pontianak and Batam.

The IALF has more than twenty five years experiencein preparing students for the IELTS test. In 2014 almost1,500 students attended IELTS Preparation courses atIALF Jakarta.

IELTS Prep - 50 Hours

The minimum entry level for the course is Pre-Intermediate 3 on the IALF Placement Test.

During the course you will: • Become familiar with the format of the IELTS test • Develop appropriate language and test-taking techniques of IELTS • Have access to a range of practice materias and English language learning resources • Participate in test simulations

IELTS Prep Plus - 25 Hours

This course is designed to provide additional practicein Speaking and Writing skills for the IELTS test.

During the course you will: • Improve your speaking skills • Prepare for the IELTS Speaking test • Develop your writing skills • Improve your ability to write IELTS Task 1 and Task 2 responses • Participate in test simulations

Participants on an IELTS Prep Plus course will havealready completed an IELTS Prep course or will havetaken an IELTS test and received a minimum overallband score of 5.0.
