Low-power broadcasting is electronic broadcasting at low power to a smaller area than "full power" stations of the same region, but often distinguished from "micropower broadcasting" (more commonly "microbroadcasting") and broadcast translators. LPFM, LPAM, and LPTV are in various levels of use across the world, varying widely based on the laws and their enforcement.

Commercial broadcasting (also called private broadcasting) is the broadcasting of radio programming by privately owned corporate media, as opposed to state sponsorship. Many government licenses only allow LPFM for Non-Government Broadcasters
Commercial Broadcasters typically use LPFM transmitters in smaller markets where a smaller area of coverage is needed or as required by government radio licensing.

stereo signal is:• 54 dBμV/m in rural areas, • 66 dBμV/m in suburban areas and • 74 dBμV/m in city areas.
