Dimensione Fuoco has been an enriching

contribution to the Conmoto showroom since

September 2010. The works of Italian designers

such as Tobia Scarpa, Riccardo Dalisi, Marco

Ferreri and many more have been marvellously

demonstrate our credo: “Love burns. Love

The Centre for Design is expanding and giving

the fireplace effective space. The archaic power

of the fireplace confidently accompanies an

interior with a consciously unostentatious

design made of wood, leather, iron and steel.

Here, the purist lines of the furniture and the fire-

places correspond brilliantly to the accessories:

comfortable cushions and leather holders for

hand-crafted fireplace tools and firewood are

BALANCE – das ist mehr als ein Kamin, es istein innen architek tonisches Konzept. Die beidenBrennkammern für Holz oder aber für Alkoholohne Schornsteinanschluss können mit denSeiten elementen in unterschiedlichen Mate ria -lien, Funktionen und Breiten gewählt und zueiner horizontalen Linie an der Wand befestigtwerden, es gibt aber auch eine auf Edelstahl-Füßen ruhende Lösung. Alle Module sind somitkompatibel und ermöglichen unzählige indivi-duelle Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten.

BALANCE – is more than just a fireplace; it is an

interior design concept. The two combustion

chambers, wood-fuelled or alcohol-fuelled with

no chimney connection, can be chosen along

with the side elements in a variety of materials,

functions and widths, and can be joined in a

horizontal line along the wall. There is also a

solution resting on stainless steel feet. In this

way, all of the modules are compatible and

allow for any number of individual design possi-

bilities.

bench constructed using strong steel sections.

As a solitary piece next to the stove, it can also

accommodate storage elements and com-

fortable cushions, drawing everything together

bench can also be set up round a corner to

create new, attractive interior design solutions.

Pure elegance, upstanding and light. GATE

simply cannot be ignored within the context of

interior design: a fireplace of decidedly elegant

proportions. So where does this remarkable

lightness stem from? The combustion chamber

is suspended to float in the matt, anthracite-

coated steel plate. Noticeably large, vertical

glass panes and the brightly gleaming accents

of the handles and levers in matt brushed

stainless steel provide a contrast in the drama

played out between materials and colours.

Of course, where to store the fuel for burning is

part of the architectural living room concept for

this fireplace. The sculptural idea is rounded off

by the log holder with its identical proportions

and design mirroring the outside of the stove.

The spacious chamber provides a safe location

for the logs either to the right or left of the fire-

place.

TURN ist die Antwort auf offenes Wohnen. Der um 360 Grad drehbare Kamin lässt sichwahlweise auch stufenweise arretieren. Dergemütliche Anblick des Feuers ist jetzt von allendenkbaren Richtungen zu genießen. So legt dieKaminplanung die Wohnlandschaft nicht längerfest und bietet dem Wandel die gewünschteFreiheit. Formal kommuniziert der horizontalplatzierte Feuerraum die Leichtigkeit des freischwebenden Feuers. Das Bedürfnis nachWärme bekommt einen zentralen Platz. TURNist jederzeit zugewandt. Der Kamin ist freistehend geprüft. Zur Siche-rung kann er durch die Vorbohrungen in der Bodenplatte auf dem Fußboden festgeschraubtwerden. Ein Kontergewicht im integrierten Stau-raumelement sorgt auch ohne Bodenver-schraubung für den Gewichtsausgleich undStandfestigkeit. Die Brennraumtür ist nachrechts zu öffnen, während die Luftzufuhr übereinen praktischen Einhandregler unter derBrennkammer erfolgt. TURN kommt ohne Feuer-raum-Rost und Aschekasten aus dank des optimal geregelten Verbrennungsvorgangs.

TuRN is the answer for open living. This fire-

place can be rotated round 360 degrees and

can also be locked in position at set increments.

The cosy view of the fire can now be enjoyed

from every conceivable angle. This means that

fireplace planning is no longer tied to the living

room environment and offers the desired scope

for change. In its form, the horizontally located

fireplace communicates the lightness of the

free-floating fire. The requirement for heat takes

centre stage. TuRN is always involved.

The fireplace has been tested as a free-standing

installation. For extra security, it can be screwed

down onto the floor through the holes pre-drilled

in the base plate. An counterweight accommo-

dated in the integrated storage element ensures –

without being screwd down – that its own

Überraschung! Ihr Äußeres ist aus hochwerti-gem Porzellan, was sie zart und beschützens-wert wirken lässt. Dabei steckt OGON voller Energie. Das Tischfeuer wartet nur darauf, vonseiner oberen Hälfte befreit zu werden – für einzauberhaftes Flammenspiel. Danach stehtOGON wieder geduldig, aber verheißungsvollschön im Raum. Übrigens am liebsten zu zweit,zu dritt, auf jeden Fall immer bereit für dennächsten Feuerzauber. Den Künstler Alim Pasht-Han fasziniert das Ele-ment Feuer. Und er liebt die Matroschka. SeineIdee zu OGON reifte und nahm diese anspre-chend sinnliche Form an. In Zusammenarbeitmit dem Design-Studio Vertijet erhielt OGON dieperfekte technische Funktionalität. Gebranntund veredelt in der traditionsreichen Reichen-bacher Porzellanmanufaktur, bekam die weißeOGON ihr Gesicht und fand ihre handbemaltePlatinmitte. Alim Pasht-Han konzipierte sieobendrein ganz in Weiß oder auch kess deko-riert mit Glanzplatin versehen.

OGON is bursting with energy. The table fire is

only waiting to be released from its top half – for

a magical display of flames. Then OGON waits

patiently again, but as a promisingly beautiful

element of the room. What’s more, preferably as

a pair or one of three, always ready for the next

magical display of fire.

The artist Alim Pasht-Han is fascinated by the

element of fire. And he loves the Matryoschka

doll. His idea for OGON matured and assumed

this sensuously attractive form. In collaboration

with the Vertijet design studio, OGON was then

provided with its perfect technical functionality.

Fired and decorated in the traditional Reichen-

bach porcelain manufacturing plant, the white

OGON was provided with its face and came by

its hand-painted platinum centre. Alim Pasht-

Han also designed it entirely in white or jauntily

TRAVElMATE makes it possible to set up an

individual, full-value fireplace and source of heat

that really sets the mood, with no complications

and wherever you want it: On the carpet, on the

dining table, next to the sofa, on the terrace, or

in the garden, now the atmosphere of the

fireside can be enjoyed anywhere. The formal

design as a stylised suitcase unmistakeably

conveys the notion that this is an item not bound

to any fixed location.

The glass pane, which is held on with magnets,

is only removed in order to light the fire. Once the

glass pane has been replaced, the fuel tank can

be opened and closed, using the stainless steel

slide at the front of the fireplace, thereby

allowing the flames to be regulated from the

outside. Now the glass pane once again

protects the fire.

The base for your TRAVElMATE when using in-

doors – simple and with no need for assembly,

place the portable fireplace onto the base and

enjoy the fire’s ambiance from a completely new

perspective. Increased safety is provided by a

surrounding lower frame.

DOTS is the first time that a fireplace and

seating have been brought together to create a

portable product family. The cylindrical

elements can be assembled on a balcony, on

the terrace or in the garden, and together they

generate a backdrop which lends itself to

Seinebeidseitig angebrachten Glasscheiben sorgenfür kompletten Durchblick. Gehalten von Magneten, wird das Glas zum Befüllen desTanks mit Bioethanol kurzerhand abgenommen. Die Feuerstelle rollt auf einem schwarzenSchutzmantel aus Filz, der den Korpus umgibt,über den Boden. Die hintere Glasscheibe hateine runde Aussparung, um das Abnehmen zumBefüllen des Tanks zu erleichtern und das Feuermit Sauerstoff zu versorgen. and yet quite free. ROll FIRE provides warmth

wherever it is installed. Anyone who values

variety and is looking for all-over warmth will

simply love the independent heat it radiates. As

it rolls, ROll FIRE easily balances its stainless

steel tank, mounted on its roller bearings. The

two glass panes fitted at the sides render it

completely transparent. As it is held in place by

magnets, when the tank is being filled with

bioethanol the glass is lifted off in no time at all.

The corpus of the fireplace is covered securely

with black felt while rolling on the floor. The glass

on the back has a round hole in the pane which

helps to lift off the glass and also cares of a per-

fect dioxygen supply for the fire.

However, that’s not all ROll FIRE can do: with

its wall bracket (available as an option), wall

mounting is a simple matter. Alternatively, the

bracket can be used to secure the fire to the

floor – for those who want to see their ROll

FIRE with rather less of a life of its own.

The story of the DIMENSIONE FUOCO collec-

Tobia Scarpa is the son of the renowned architect

Carlo Scarpa. He studied architecture and design

at the University of Venice, and has been

designing products such as lights, furniture and

Scarpa. Besides lighting and furniture pieces,

Tobia and Afra Scarpa have designed interiors

and industrial buildings, their designs for a fac-

Giulio Gianturco wurde 1953 geboren und gra-duierte in Medizin, einem Beruf, den er immernoch ausübt. Es begann in den 80er-Jahren,als er an vielen Regatten teilnahm, bei denen erverschiedene technische Materialen und ihreEigenschaften schätzen und lieben lernte (Edel-stahl, Aramidfasern, …). Von da an setzte erseine Erfahrungen in Design um und baute ersteStücke für sein eigenes Haus. Er erhielt Anfra-gen von Freunden und so entwickelte sich inkurzer Zeit seine Produktion.

Giulio Gianturco was born in 1953, he gradua-

ted in medicine, a profession he still practices.

Starting from the Eighties he participated in

many regattas and learned to appreciate and

love the characteristics of various technical ma-

terials (stainless steel, aramid fibres, ...).

From there he learned to transfer his experien-

ces with these materials to designing and buil-

ding the first pieces for his home. He began to

receive requests from friends and started short

production runs.

„Mit dem Entwurf eines Kaminbestecks habe ichmich spontan beschäftigt, als 1997 JohannesWagner anfragte, ob das ein Thema für michwäre. Das war es zweifellos, denn für meinen privaten Kamin hatte ich bis dato nichts ge -funden, das meinen Vorstellungen entsprach. Sobehalf ich mir bis dahin mit einem simplenschmiedeeisernen Schürhaken. Es fehlte mir vorallem eine gut funktionierende Holzzange, die zu-packen konnte, und die wurde dann auch zumzentralen Ausgangspunkt des neuen Entwurfes.“2000 wurde die Serie erweitert: „Ein Blasebalg entstand aus der Notwendigkeit heraus, dass esso etwas nur in reichlich antikisierenden Formengab. Ebenfalls entstanden Kaminböcke in ver-schiedenen Abmes sungen, um das Feuer besser„bauen“ zu können. Damit ist die Serie vervoll-ständigt – ein funktional gestalteter Werkzeugsatzfür leidenschaftliche Pyromanen.“

“I started to think about designing a fireplace tool

set spontaneously back in 1997 when Johannes

Wagner enquired whether this was something I

might be interested in. I certainly was, for up until

then I had been unable to find anything that

approached what I had in mind for my own fire-

place. Hitherto I had made do with a simple

wrought iron poker. What I lacked most of all were

good functional wood tongs to grasp the wood

with, and this then also became the central

starting point of the new design.” In the year 2000

the series was expanded: “Bellows arose from the

necessity that articles of this type were only

available in really antiq ue designs. Andirons in

various dimensions were also created so as to be

able to “build” the fire better. This completed the

series – a functionally designed set of tools for

passionate pyromaniacs.”

„Von Anfang an war mir die Materialkombinationvon mattem Edelstahl und Naturleder wichtig –deshalb wurden rundgefräste Kernlederbänderals Griffwicklung gewählt. Einerseits als griffigerhaptischer Hitzeschutz der Hand, andererseitsaber auch vor allem wegen der Materialästhetikdes Naturmaterials Leder. Neben der Zange entstanden die klassischen Komponenten Schürhaken und Schaufel, die in einen Edel stahl-Ständer oder in eine Wandbefestigung einge- hängt werden können.“Gleichzeitig wurde die Holzlege konzipiert, mit formal analoger Gestaltung und den typischen Ledergriffen.

Das von Peter Maly entworfene Kaminbesteck erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen.

“Right from the outset, I felt that a combination of

matt stainless steel and natural leather was an

important factor – which is why milled full grain

leather bands were selected as the hilt wrapping.

On the one hand as a heat shield for your hand

with a good grip and nice to the touch, on the

other however, principally because of the material

aesthetics of the natural leather. In addition to the

tongs, classic components such as pokers and

shovel were created which can be mounted in a

stainless steel stand or wall holder.”

The log holder was designed at the same time,

similar in shape and with the typical leather

handles.

Mit zwei Magneten wird die Rückwandam Feuerteufel befestigt, sodass die Kerzen leichtzu tauschen sind. LUCIFER ist in Schwarz-Rotbzw. komplett in Rot erhältlich. DRAGONHEART dient als Feuerbock im Kaminoder als Holzablage davor.

The lUCIFER fire devil can be lit up using a tea

light or candle, transforming itself in the hearth

or living area into a burning sculpture. The rear

wall is affixed to the fire devil by two magnets

so the candles are easy to replace. lUCIFER

SEASONS is an invitation to change, to adopt a

playful approach to the room. The stools,

tables, seat cushions, trays and boxes made of

walnut and bog oaksolid wood feature straight

lines and offer maximum flexibility. Places to sit

are instantly transformed into attractive side

tables. One tug at the practical cushion handle

is sufficient to create a modified room scenario

from this high-end collection. Two cushions in

different sizes offer an exciting material contrast

between tanned cow hide and virgin wool

felted fabric, all in obvious and tangible premium

quality.

This all stands on a sound basis. The carpets in

pure virgin wool felt, produced by a high-profile

north German manufacturer, are framed in

leather borders in the best tradition of the

craftsman. The three specially designed colour

schemes in dark brown, dark aubergine and

urban black for the cushions and carpets high-

light the special aesthetic appeal of the material.

SEASONS displays a sensuous presence next

to the fireplace in the house. In its extremely

minimalist form the American walnut wood

exudes a deep sense of peace. Fine inserts in

dark bog oak interact with the solid strength of

the walnut and in their function as discreet

constructional elements pay tribute to the

eternal processing skills of the craftsman.
