My interpretation of this quote is that Louis is trying to say that he is the ruler and everyone should obey him because not only is he a king he is France.

Accomplishments

Social- Louis’s set up schools for painting and sculpting.

Political- Louis XIV dispatched the war of devolution(1667-68) against the Spanish Netherlands. Fighting was started by the French and the purpose of the war was because the Netherlands owed France money.

Economic- parliaments lost their traditional power to vote and they had to follow everything Louis said.

Extra- Louis discovered the Palace of Versailles, also known as the “Hall of mirrors.” It’s where he lived, and it was in the center of town and the palace impressed everyone.
