London Then and Now

London is a very exciting city. Eight million people

live there. People from all over the world visit

London There are many fun things to do and

beautiful places to see.

400 years ago London is a very different place. It is

a small town, with only 90,000 people. There are

many problems in London. One big problem is the

rats. There are rats everywhere and the rats spread

disease. Many people are sick because of the rats.

Thousands of people die. It is a tragedy.

On September 2, 1666, there is another tragedy in

London. It starts in Pudding Lane.
