Location- Our location is Weston Woods in the local town Weston-

Super-Mare. The woods are easy to access, suitable to camp within and film. There’s nearby parking facilities and we have been to the wood’s before, so we have a familiar idea of the location.

Reasons for the location- It’s dark and secluded so fits with the

conventions of horror. The location is remote, and despite being

popular with the public by day. By night, it’s quiet and easy to film.

It’s local, and easy to arrange transport to. It’s safe to work in, with little risks as the

location is well managed. It’s within walking distance from the train

station/ local bus stops, so is easily accessible.

Weather-

We intend to film it in cloudy, dry conditions. As the sky will be overcast it will be dark, and gory looking to give the illusion of being lost or in an environment which you can’t escape. Filming in dry conditions is also more practical, and will mean that the camera equipment won’t get damaged. However, if it is raining this is not a problem, as we have a deadline and it will add a good effect to the film.
