Page 1: Linkedin marketing: How to write a killer profile headline

How  to  write  a  killer  headline  for  your  Linkedin  profile  .  .  .

Whenever  people  search  for  new  contacts  on  Linkedin,  your  name,  photograph  and  headline  are  the  1st  things  that  show  up.

 3. If people are searching for new contacts, you want to stand out as the most memorable and best in your field at what you do, right?

Your professional headline is the text below your name and next to your photograph. You get 120 characters to sum up your value to other people.  5.  Few  people  are  actually  interested  in  your  job  title.

6.  Instead,  explain  what  value  you  deliver  that  helps  your  customers.    7.  Remember,    no-‐one  wants  IT  upgrades  or  a  new  website;  they  want  the  benefits  these  services  bring.

So  focus  your  headline  on  explaining  the  benefits  you  deliver  to  a  particular  type  of  customer.  Be  very  specific  to  reinforce  your  expert  status  and  use  keywords  to  help  you  rank  better  in  searches.

 9.  Finally,  use  this  headline  across  all  your  marketing  to  add  consistency  to  your  brand!
