Lilly Allen – Hard out here In this high angle shot the viewer sees Lilly Allen (the artist) lying on an operating table with a man dressed in a suit standing above her. The difference in levels between the artist and the business man could indicate the different hierarchy’s between the characters. The body positioning of the male indicates to me that he is dominant in their relationship due to him hovering over Lilly Allen. The female character looks as if she is restricted by the sheet that seems to restrict her. Artificial blue lighting is used in this frame in order to create a clinical feel to the shot. There is also a key lighting on the main characters face so it can highlight her facial expressions. This is a wide shot which the viewer sees the main character and her back up dancers being told how they should dance. This may be based on how the males want or think females should dance in order to get male attention. The dancers are also wearing revealing clothing which most men may find attractive because they are able to see the Anal ysis .

Lilly Allen – Hard out here

In this high angle shot the viewer sees Lilly Allen (the artist) lying on an operating table with a man dressed in a suit standing above her.

The dancers are also wearing revealing clothing which most men may find attractive because they are able to see the woman’s figure. The dancers are also wearing high heels which symbolise the profession of strippers. The dancers appear to be part taking in a dance move known to the modern day generation of “twerking”. This dance move was created by the stripper profession. The gold background represents the notation of “rathet” which emphasises the stripper profession. This shot compliments the male gaze theory. This theory states that there is an imbalance between males and females. The audience are forced to view the video from a perspective of a heterosexual male’s point of view. Which the frame focuses on the females curves.
