Extensive Product Range
The GrabiQ System
Our GrabiQ Grade 100 range feature integrated shortening, reduced number of components and more flexible use of chain slings. This provides a modular concept for cost effective lifting solutions that covers a wide set of applications.
Arctic Offshore
Adverse weather and rough sea conditions, sometimes in combination with extremely low temperatures, must be included in the design of offshore lifting sets. Our offshore range is produced from steel that gives improved impact strength at low operating temperatures, as well as reduced risk for hydrogen embrittlement.
Crane Blocks & Sheaves
An extensive product line, including swivels, snatch blocks, crane blocks, overhaul balls and sockets. Rigid controls on high quality make our products the standard of choice.
Lifting Points
Our wide range of lifting points allow us to provide complete solutions developed for each customer’s needs, enabling improved operational efficiency for our customers. All of our Lifting Points are CE marked. Each lifting point has been proof loaded to 2.5 times the Working Load Limit and visually inspected by a licensed inspector before leaving the factory.
Shackles & Rigging Screws
Our shackles are made from a range of steel qualities, including acid proof stainless steel and high grade alloy steel to comply with the most stringent specifications. Parts of our shackle range are Type Approved to DNV 2.7-1.The production of shackles and rigging screws takes place in our factory located outside Bergen, Norway.
Chain & Lifting Components
Our chain and components are made from special quenched and tempered alloy steel that guarantees high strength, low weight, high wear resistance and long life. All lifting components are uniformly marked with chain size, grade, manufacture’s designation and name. Every individual component and chain link is tested to the Manufacturing Proof Force before leaving our factories in Växjö and Gunnebo.

Multi Section Lifting Beam Deliveries
Multi Section BeamsThis type of beam consists of multiple sections to each load range depending on the required length. The
load range is from 1T – 475 T with lengths of 1,5 m – 15 m, providing you a large set of lifting options.
One of the main purposes and key benefits of the multi section beams is the interchangeable components.
Within its load range, modules/sections can be added or taken away to provide you with the flexibility in
lengths that you need.
5
Single Section BeamsIf flexibility in length is not an issue and your upcoming lift is limited to an operation with exact specified
length and load, a single section option may be beneficial.
The same components still apply, however the centre section is limited to one piece, reflecting the total length
needed for your operation.
Should you still see the need for interchangeable components even though you have already purchased the
single section beam, there is no need to worry. The end forks and links are still interchangeable with the multi
section beams and can easily be assembled with these components.
The single-section lifting beams are designed using the same criteria as the multi-module beams, thus the
same dimensions in height and width, the same shackle options and the same connecting bolts.

ShacklesShackles are optional with all deliveries. Our lifting beams are suited for use with standard bow shackles or wide
body shackles. At Gunnebo Industries, we will provide you with the best quality and prices from our in-house
production.
The required shackle sizes depend on the load of the beam, see illustrations on which shackle sizes to use for the
corresponding beam below.

Regulations and ComplianceAll Gunnebo Industries Lifting/Spreader Beams are designed to comply with the
following standards and regulations:
• Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
• ILO Convention 152
• DNVGL-ST-E273 Portable Offshore Units
• DNV Standard for Certification No 2.22, Lifting Appliances
• DNVGL-ST-0377 Standard For Shipboard Lifting Appliances

9
Lifting/Spreader Beam SetsThe Gunnebo Industries beams are assembled with a hinged connection in each end,
which enables rotation around the bolt of the upper shackle as illustrated below. This
functionality enables the beam to be used with a wide range of sling angles.
The Gunnebo Industries beams are named based on applicable class/regulations, end
link options and loads, as illustrated below:

Table 1. Overview on class/regulations compatibility.
Table 1 shows that by ordering a CT1 beam type, this will be applicable for use within the criteria of the Machinery
Directive. This basically means that the beam can only be used if the lift is carried out by using a crane located on
land or on a fixed installation / platform. This beam type cannot be used while operating from i.e. an offshore crane
located on a floating vessel.
At Gunnebo Industries, we have the expertise to guide you in terms of which certification level is applicable for your
upcoming lift.

Lifting/Spreader Beam Capacity As mentioned in 4.1, the beams are organised in three capacities, CT1, CT2 and CT3. Each
capacity is divided into three ranges; one low range, one middle range and one high range.
As shown by figure 1, each of the beams have a varying capacity dependent on length, all of
which are tapering off at long lengths due to buckling.

Each of the beams can be supplied with several types of end links as mentioned in
previous chapters and as shown by table 2; either standard bow shackles or wide body
shackles.
