..at the right place at the right time Our office is not overflowing with people walkingin for appointments. However it's amazing how theLord places us at the right place at the right time. Many of the women we see are in abusive situations, often very dependent on the person abusing them forsurvival. With little children in tow, this ministryhas provided sustaining counsel, referrals andprovisions to help them in their journey. This ismostly due to supporters like each of you that give inso many ways to strengthen this ministry.Dorothy Booker, Plainfield

    Will Jesus Be

    Seen In 2013?

We celebrate His IncarnationOur Savior has come . .to give knowledge of salvation to hispeople in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercyof our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to givelight to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, toguide our feet into the way of peace. Luke 1:77-79

We await His returnAnd, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, togive every man according as his work shall be. I am Alphaand Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they mayhave right to the tree of life, and may enter in through thegates into the city. (Revelation 22:12-14)

We work while it is dayPlanting seeds and building bridges is an ongoing process at acrisis pregnancy center, but, there may be a time that the Lord

wants us to reap the harvest (John 4:35-37) and cross those bridges.

At Gateway, we see more and more that each woman who visits usis a divine appointment. Weve been called ..for such a time asthis. Not only to sow, but to reap that which others have sown.(John 4:38). Would you join Gateway in reaping?

Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but theworkers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to sendout workers into His harvest." (Matthew 9:37:38 )

2012 - The year in review

Real Life Stories .. we believe the gospel of life begins with the message of eternal life and continues with growth in holiness.

Randi , age 18 came to Gateway Irvington. She just began Essex County College, looking towards acareer in teaching. We showed her the Harder Truth video because she was undecided as whether to carryto term or abort. According to the Gateway volunteer (Leonor), she was shocked. Leonor introduced thegospel. Randi made a commitment to trust Christ as Savior and Lord. Her pregnancy test was negative.Randi and Leonor agreed to email one another. She was given a Bible.

Church goer but not born again

Denise , age 28 listened to the gospel being presented by Evon. She was invited to trust Christ as Savior, but refused. She attends church and is in fact a member. She lives with her boyfriend and is not born again

    Quotable quote

All the religion in the world cannot earn Gods approv al. Only by coming to God as sinners and trustingin the person and work of Jesus Christ can we be declared righteous. - David Souther/ Senior MinistryDirector, EvanTell http://www.evantell.org

    ..a new believer

Yola, age 26, came to Gateway intending to carry to term. She has two small children and, according toher clinician, severe financial stress. Evon shared the gospel with her and she trusted Christ. Baby Zianwas born on her kitchen floor on December 28 th. Evon continued to encourage her in her new relationship

Seek the LORD while He may be found,Call upon Him while He is near. So shall Myword be that goes forth from My mouth; It

shall not return to Me void, But it shallaccomplish what I please, And it shall

prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Real Life Stories / the Year in Review (late summer and early fall)

Cece (age 23) and her boyfriend Ronnie came in for baby items to our Irvington location. She did not knowChrist when she came in but was led to the Lord by Gloria in April. Jim spoke with Ronnie and found out he hadalready trusted Christ. Both were invited to church and a local bible study.

Myra (age 36) never heard about the gospel. She believed no one loved her. She was sexually abused many timesand blamed herself. She was doing drugs. When Arely, our Elizabeth volunteer shared Christ, she trusted Him forsalvation. Both are pictured below (Myra on the right)

Lisa, a volunteer at our Plainfield location spoke with a woman in early December. She was determined tohave her baby in spite of recent health issues and the concerns of her husband. She was against the abortion, even. This young woman had surgery for epilepsy in February, and then she had a stroke. Her physical healthdid not look good. Her husband actually gave her the money to have an abortion, however (as Plainfield ClientServices Director, Dorothy Booker writes) all is well.. she used the money to help with her prenatal care. Sheand her baby are doing well and she's due to deliver in a couple weeks. Praise the Lord!

Elsa* has had a tough life. She never had a good relationship with her parent.Feeling rejected, she began having sex at age 15, looking for love. She cried herself to sleep. She was thrown out of five schools. She began prostituting herself butstopped when she found out she was being stalked by one of her clients. Evelinshred the gospel and her testimony with Elsa. She gave her a Bible, a devotional and

the book An Anchor for My Soul, as well as a list of local bible churches. Pray shetrusts Christ.

Hurricane Sandy blew away our sign in Irvington, but a number of supporters helped raise the$2,800 to restore it within a few weeks. Since 1991, this sign has been used by the Lord to bringmany women to the true light found only in Jesus Christ. I am th e light of the world.

Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12

She had workedwith us in assisting women who have been trafficked. Andin need of immediate physical help. She graciously hasallowed us to give bibles and gospel portions to the womenweve assisted.
