Online Learning @ Loyola
Online Teaching Course
The Faculty Center for Ignatian Pedagogy provides an eight-unit training course inclusive of the
pedagogy and best practices of teaching and learning online (source: luc.edu/fcip). The course is open to
any Loyola faculty member. The curriculum includes active participation in which faculty get a better
understanding of the student experience while becoming familiar with beneficial tools and technology
as they consider teaching online courses.
Summer 2014
More than 50 online courses will be offered for undergraduate students during Summer 2014! Summer
2014 undergraduate tuition is $690 per credit hour. However, some program-specific tuition may vary.

Tech Check!
Individuals exploring the idea of experiencing online learning @ Loyola are encouraged to complete a
technology check on all devices used during the course. Tech checks range from Flash and/or MIC
compatibility to reviewing webinars providing instructions on how to prepare and use the virtual
(& collaborative) meeting space known as Adobe Connect.
Netiquette and Online Behavior
For those new to online learning, Loyola’s developed a set of modules ranging from topics about
asynchronous and synchronous online learning programs, online learning expectations (e.g.
participation), virtual classroom experience and netiquette.
