    roduct can tilt forward after the product installation.) If you tighten the bolt with excessive force, the boltcandeviate from abrasion of the tightening part of the bolt.

    Carefully place the TV screen side down on acushioned surface to protect the screen fromdamage.

    2 Assemble the parts of the Stand Body withthe Cover Base of the TV.

    Assemble the TV as shown.

    Fix the 4 bolts securely using the holes in theback of the TV.

    Carefully place the TV screen side down on a cushioned surface to protect the screen from damage.

    Assemble the parts of the STAND BODY with COVER BASE of the TV. Insert the STAND BODY into aCOVER BASE until clicking sound.

    Assemble the TV as shown.

    PLEASE SET IT UP CAREFULLY SO THE PRODUCT DOES NOTFALL OVER.

    A You should purchase necessary components to fix the TV to the wall on the market.A Position the TV close to the wall to avoid the possibility of it falling when pushed.A The instructions shown below are a safer way to set up the TV, which is to fix it to the wall, avoiding the

    possibility of it falling forwards if pulled. This will prevent the TV from falling forward and causing injury.This will also prevent the TV from damage. Ensure that children do not climb or hang from the TV.

    NOTE!

    G When moving the TV undo the cords first.

    G Use a platform or cabinet string and large enough to support the size and weight of the TV.

    G To use the TV safely make sure that the height of the bracket on the wall and on the TV is the same.

    Use the eye-bolts or TV brackets/bolts to fix the product to the wall as shown in the picture.

    (If your TV has bolts in the eyebolts, loosen then bolts.)

    * Insert the eye-bolts or TV brackets/bolts and tighten them securely in the upper holes.

    Secure the wall brackets with bolts to the wall.

    Ensure that both brackets are even.

    3 Use a strong cord to secure the TV.Secure the cord in such a way that it becomes taught when the TV is in position.

    After installing the TV, you can adjust the TV manuallyto the left or right direction by 20 degrees to suit yourviewing position.

Care should be taken not toexpose the tv to any unnecessary vibration, moisture, dust or heat. Also ensure that the TV is placed in a positionto allow a free flow of air. Do not cover the ventilation openings on the back cover.If you intend to mount the TV to a wall, attach VESA standard mounting interface (optional parts) to the back ofthe TV.When you install the TV to use the wall mounting bracket (optional parts), fix it carefully so as not to drop.

    KENSINGTON SECURITY SYSTEM (Only 22LG1***, 22LG3***)The TV is equipped with a Kensington Security System connector on the back panel. Connect the KensingtonSecurity System cable as shown below.For the detailed installation and use of the Kensington Security System, refer to the users guide provided withthe Kensington Security System.For further information, contact http://www.kensington.com, the internet homepage of the Kensingtoncompany. Kensington sells security systems for expensive electronic equipment such as notebook PCs and LCDprojectors.

    NOTE

    - The Kensington Security System is an optional accessory.

    NOTESa. If the TV feels cold to the touch, there may be a small flickerwhen when it is turned on.This is normal, there is nothing wrong with TV.

    b. Some minute dot defects may be visible on the screen, appear-ing as tiny red, green, or blue spots. However, they have noadverse effect on the monitor's performance.

    c. Avoid touching the LCD screen or holding your finger(s)against it for long periods of time.Doing so may produce some temporary distortion effects onthe screen.

    Loose the bolts from TV.1 Bend the HINGE BODY and pull it backward.2

    Insert the PROTECTION COVER intothe TV.3

    Fix the 4 bolts securely using the holes inthe back of the TV.4

    VCR SETUP

    I To avoid picture noise (interference), allow adequate distance between the VCR and TV.

    I Typically a frozen still picture from a VCR. If 4:3 picture format is used for an extended period the fixed

    images on the sides of the screen may remain visible.

    Connect the ANT OUT socket of the VCRto the ANTENNA IN socket on the TV.

    Connect the antenna cable to the ANT INsocket of the VCR.

    Press the PLAY button on the VCR andmatch the appropriate programmebetween the TV and VCR for viewing.

    for prolonged periods of time.The fixed imagemay become permanently imprinted on thescreen;use a screen saver when possible.

    G Connect the PC to the RGB (PC) port of the TV;change the resolution output of PC accordingly.

    G There may be interference relating to resolution,vertical pattern, contrast or brightness in PCmode. Change the PC mode to another resolu-tion or change the refresh rate to another rate

    or adjust the brightness and contrast on themenu until the picture is clear. If the refresh rateof the PC graphic card can not be changed,change the PC graphic card or consult the man-ufacturer of the PC graphic card.

    All receivable stations are stored.

    When auto tuning is complete, the Programme edit menuappears on the screen. See the Programme edit section to editthe stored programme.

    Up to 100 TV stations can be stored by programme numbers (0 to 99). Once you

    have preset the stations, you will be able to use the P / (or PR D / E orPR +/-) or NUMBER buttons to scan the stations you have programmed.

    Stations can be tuned using automatic or manual modes.

    All stations which can be received are stored by this method. It is

    recommended that you use Auto tuning during installation of this TV.

    Manual programme lets you manually tune and arrange the

    stations in whatever order you desire.

    ASSIGNING A STATION NAME

    You can assign a station name up to five characters to each programme number.

    Press the MENU button and then / button to selectthe Setup menu.

    Press the button and then / button to selectManual Tuning.

    Press the button and then / button to selectName.

    Press the button and then / button. You can use ablank, +, -, the number0 to 9 and the alphabet A to Z.

    Press the / button to select the position and makeyour choice of the second character, and so on.

    This function enables you to delete or skip stored programmes.

    Also you can move some stations to other programme numbersor copy a blank station data into the selected programme number.

    Press the MENU button and then / button to selectthe Setup menu.

    Press the button and then / button to selectProgramme Edit.

    Press the button to display the Programme edit menu.

    A Deleting a programme

    1.Select a programme to be deleted with the / // button.

    2.Press the RED button twice.

    The selected programme is deleted, all the following

    programmes are shifted up one position.

    A Copying a programme

    1.Select a programme to be copied with the / // button.

    2.Press the GREEN button.All the following programmes are shifted down one position.

    A Moving a programme

    1.Select a programme to be moved with the / / /button.

    2.Press the YELLOW button.

    3.Move the programme to the desired programme number withthe / / / button.

    4.Press the YELLOW button again to release this function.

    A Skipping a programme number

    1.Select a programme number to be skipped with the // / button.

    2.Press the BLUE button. The skipped programme turns to blue.

    3.Press the BLUE button again to release the skipped pro-gramme.

    When a programme number is skipped it means that you willbe unable to select it using the / button during normalTV viewing. If you wish to select the skipped programme,directly enter the programme number with the NUMBER but-tons or select it in the programme edit or table menu.

    SELECTING THE PROGRAMME LIST

    You can check which programmes are stored in the memory by dis-playing the programme list.

    A Displaying programme list

    Press the LIST button to display the Programme list menu.

    The programme list appears on the screen.

    One programme list contains ten programmes as shown.

    A Selecting a programme in the programme list

    Select a programme with the / / / button.

    Then press the O K button. The TV switches to the chosen

    programme number.

    A Paging through a programme list

    There are 10 programme table pages in which contain 100 pro

    grammes. Pressing the / / / button repeatedly turns the

    pages.

    Press the LIST button to return to normal TV viewing.

    NOTE!

    a. You may find some blue programmes. They have been set up

    to be skipped by auto programming or in the programme edit

    mode.

    b. Some programmes with the channel number shown in the

    programme list indicate there is no station name assigned.
