Support is defined as adding assistance to an endeavor. What we received from Mike Buatti was ownership, responsibility and passion. He drove the direction and owned the Xerox, National Grid, P&G and Alcoa deals to name but a few. Mr. Buatti added fire when things slowed down, held people liable for their actions and personally forced the deals forward. These are the largest deals that we are working on in the country – he took great pride in that. Many times he would beat us down on price or pressure us to add extras without having to be pushed by management to do so – just because he thought it was the right thing to do by Verizon. Although he held our feet to the fire, that is a preferable position for me than have someone support a deal and add assistance when asked or called upon.
