I. Concept: UseWaterCycleBoogiesongtoteachstudentsaboutthewatercycleforasciencelesson.Studentswillmakehatstorepresentdifferentpartsofthecyclealongwithlearningthehandmotionsthatgowiththewords.
II. LearningOutcomeorObjective:EntryAbility: Studentsareablereadandsingalongwithanewsong.Theyareabletomimicmotionsthatareshown tothemby theteacherthatcorrespondswiththelyrics.
ExitAbility: Studentswillunderstandwhatthewatercycleisandhowitworksbyconnectingthewordsandhandmotionsofthesongtothesciencelesson.
III. LessonEvaluationProcedures:Teacherwillnotewhichchildrencanusetheappropriatehandmotionswiththecorrespondingwordsinthesong.Studentswillbeabletocreatehandmotionstorepresentpartsofthecycle. Thestudentswillbeabletoanswerquestionsaboutthewatercycle.
IV. MaterialsandBoard/SpacePreparation:CDcopyof theWaterCycleBoogieby theBananaSlugStringBand,CDplayer,handoutsofthelyricsoftheWaterCycleBoogie,simplediagramposter ofthewatercycle,threehatexamplesrepresentingthepartsofthewatercycle.

havealotof fun wearegoingtolearnaboutthewatercycle.Tohelpusunderstandthewatercyclewearegoingtolearnafunnewsong.
B. DevelopingtheLesson:Step1: Showstudentstheposterofthewatercycle,explainimportanceofwatercycle,andgiveanexplanationforeachsectionofthewatercycle.TransitionStatement:Nowwearegoingtolearnasongtohelpusrememberthisnewmaterial.Step2: Passoutlyrics.Showstudentsthehandmotions.ThendothehandmotionswhileplayingthechorusontheCD.
