Is the process of creating seamless integration of images, photos and text and applies them in all aspects of design

Images are created and rendered using drawing software (Illustrator), photos are enhanced and modified by the use of photo-editing tools (Photoshop).

and all these will be put together by an application including text into one (InDesign) and then later stored and shared with a software (Acrobat) that renders finished product. Retaining its quality and protect it from any changes.

Desktop Publishing

The process of using the computer and specific types of software to combine text and graphics to produce documents such as newsletter, brochures, books, web pages and many other printed documents.

The word Desktop publishing was coined and attributed to Aldus corporation founder Paul Brained who made a marketing catch-phrase for the small size and relatively cheap software product that time, the Aldus Pagemaker way back in 1985

When Pagemaker was released, hordes of print publishers including newspaper and book publishers moved to the DTP System, since printing in the resolution of 300 dpi (dots per square inch) and to print what you see in the computer.

Creating a New Document:1. In the File Menu,

click New then Document or Press Ctrl+N for keyboard shortcut.

2. In the Welcome screen go to Create New area then click Document.
