Leadership lessons from daniel Daniel 1:8 - Live according to God’s principles, not culture’s principles - Some leaders will tell you to cut corners or do things that compromise your integrity, but your methods of leadership should always hold firm to the principles for life that you have been taught in God’s word. Daniel 2:10-11, 27-28, 48-49 - Don’t be afraid of what seems impossible. Use your gifts and trust God - Remember nothing is impossible with God! Daniel 4: 24-25 - “Leadership is stewardship and your accountable”, Andy Stanley - God is the one who puts people in leadership. He gives you the ability to lead and the influence that draws others to you. You will be accountable for the influence you have. Daniel 4: 30-32 - The purpose of any dream is to give God glory - King Nebuchadnezzar forgot all about the dream that he had. God showed him in the dream that God should receive glory, not him. Nebuchadnezzar began to take the glory. Any dream God gives you, the ultimate result is to give Him glory, not to bring glory to yourself. Daniel 4: 36-37 - Teamwork takes you further than you can take yourself - Nebuchadnezzar changed his speech from being about himself to being about the kingdom. Anything we do will have greater effect when done as a team. Daniel 6: 3-4 - Integrity is your rock. Whatever you do, do it with excellence. Daniel 6:13-14; 9:2 - Keep prayer central to your life and have an understanding of the Scripture. Daniel 6:22 - Authority is protected when authority is respected - Daniel had respect for King Darius and never did anything against him maliciously. Daniel 6:24 - God justifies you, you don’t have to justify yourself. Daniel 8:27 - God may give you avision that you can’t understand so that your trust has to re- main in Him at all times.
