Vulcan Pre-Employment Electrician/ Solar & Small Wind Installer Program The Pre-Employment Electrician/Solar & Small Wind Installer program will enhance your career opportunities in the electrical trade. In addition to developing skills in solar and small wind installation, you will receive extensive hands-on and theoretical training related to residential and commercial electrical installation as well as information on constructing, installing and maintaining small wind turbines and solar PV panels. Subjects include: shop, theory, blueprint reading and trade math. Course Dates: Sept. 10 - Dec. 14, 2012 Prerequisites: English 20-2, Math 20-3, Science 10 or Entrance Exam. Fee: $4,995 plus textbooks (approx. $350) and apprenticeship exam fee ($150) Training Curriculum: First year Alberta Apprenticeship Electrical curriculum will be taught. Location: County Central High School first semester. Funding may be available if registering before July 5 through Alberta Works and Canada Alberta Works Grant funding.
