Project Details
Description: The Lazy Creek Court Outfall Restoration Project was substantially completed on August 18, 2017. The project consisted of the restoration of 159 linear feet of an eroded channel located in a Resource Protection Area. The goals of the project were to address public safety concerns, stabilize a deeply eroded channel by using natural stream design techniques and provide enhanced water quality.
Project Objectives:
• Restore the outfall channel with imbricated stone rock steps and reinforced bed mix• Stabilize channel banks using coir matting• Re-vegetate with native plants, trees, and shrubs to promote reforestation in disturbed
areas• Provide reduction of 19.4 lbs of Total Nitrogen per year, 8.9 lbs of Total Phosphorus per
year, and 3,074 lbs of Total Suspended Solids per year
