WHY DID WE START THIS PROJECT?
We wanted to help the kids living in villages in Assam
E
WHY do the kids there need our help? The people in the villages don’t have a lot of money to build schools
Some of the schools don’t have desks or blackboards, and the kids’ families can’t afford to buy school supplies
E
How did we raise money? J

E
The people used to live in villages on the shores of the Brahmaputra River. They had move to the Sadiya area because floods destroyed their homes and their land.

1. Ask us questions about children living in Assam.2. Write letters or draw pictures that we can send to
the kids there.3. Think about whether your class would like to raise
money for some special project in Assam.
