La fondazione di LAUMAS Elettronica risale al 1984, quando Luciano Consonni, trasferitosi da Milano a Parma, dà il nome alla società accostando le iniziali dei figli, Laura e Massimo, attuali titolari insieme al padre nella guida dell’azienda. Forte di un’esperienza come progettista nell’automazione di impianti presso il gruppo Montedison, Consonni lavora in seguito come agente nel settore della pesatura industriale iniziando a commercializzare le prime celle di carico. Per implementare lo sviluppo del mercato dei sistemi di pesatura elettronici, ritiene opportuno impiantare la propria attività in Emilia Romagna, area fortemente industrializzata e votata all’innovazione tecnologica in tutti i settori, compresi quello alimentare e zootecnico. In anni in cui il mercato della pesatura è perlopiù dominato da bilance meccaniche, la prima sfida della neonata LAUMAS è quella di diffondere le applicazioni di pesatura elettronica nell’industria, facendo leva sui propri punti di forza: rapidità nella consegna e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, cercando così di competere con i marchi già affermati nel settore.
