One site was located predominately in the flood plain whereas the second site was located in an upland area. The City chose the upland site and requested further refinement of the master plan including a probable cost statement. Part of the program requirements were that the master plan maximize the site for baseball/softball, football, skate boarding, tennis and still develop a passive park atmosphere. Construction documents were developed identifying two lakes, five types of buildings, four tennis courts, parking, nine ball fields and two football fields and lighting for all the facilities. Total construction cost for the project was $5.0 million.
