LARRY MATTHEWS

Larry Matthews is a man of vision and action,who honed his building skills during 14 years in the building industry prior to starting his own business in 1978. First as a house builder, then very soon as a developer and builder of low rise apartments, Larry established his company’s name for quality and on-time delivery through a number of Gold Coast projects.

In 1996 he was one of the first to identify the pivotal position of Broadbeach as the geographic and demographic centre of growth on the Gold Coast, and acted on that intelligence with the company’s first highrise apartment project. Currently they have added five more Broadbeach/Mermaid Beach projects to their ever-growing portfolio, spanning the range from affordable residential to world class corporate space. This focus typifies the Matthews approach.

Anticipating demand well in advance of a market to shape into housing estates. These included the 900 lot Parklakes and 580 lot Sandstone Lakes projects on the Sunshine Coast and 100 blocks of land at the prized beachside development of Martha Cove on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula. More recently Larry ventured into the world stage through major residential, commercial and leisure projects in Malaysia.

Larry’s vision and commitment to development has continued acquiring land in new emerging property hotspots with medium density developments River Green and Park Green now under construction and an exciting new lifestyle development, Waterford in the Magic Millions and Gold Coast Arts Precinct already nearing completion on the drawing board.
