CHALLENGES

1.BDPO & officials are badly engaged in various others works and over burdened, shortage of staff in Blocks.2.Hence they would not be able to take part fully in the exercise till June,20113.The dates of meetings , selection of RP , trainings etc are to spaced very carefully ; it would take long time to proceed from one step to the next .4.Huge fund is needed for not only IEC & Training but also for vehicle , video graphing etc . 5. Khera Block have 84 Panchayats and it will take time to complete Lab to Land Programme.

Page 38: LAB to Land…… Punjab

1. Hon’ble Minister of Rural Development & Panchyats Punjab, Secretary RD & Ps, DC. Fatehgarh Sahib has been informed about Lab to Land Programme.

2.Formal letter has been written to them .

3.BDPO has been asked to fill up the data of real value of the key areas in the prescribed format .

Page 39: LAB to Land…… Punjab

Selection Criteria :

3. Nearer to SIRD for regular visit .4.BDPO & Chairperson have a very good relation and both of them are young , energetic and enthusiastic regarding the initiative5. J.E. is also very serious and intersted in the work 6.BPL % is 49 ; As it is a poorer Block this intervention is more needed there for more awareness and better implementation of Govt. Programmes .
