Plasma Torch Manipulator Senior Project SJSU

Partnered with MolyWorks Materials Corporation to design and build a full mechanical control system for a plasma torch foundry. The design has been implemented by the company as a key component in their process to manufacture high end metallic powders for 3D printing processes.

Oxygen Hose Reeling Mechanism Mechatronics Class SJSU

Managed a team of two mechanical engineering students to design & prototype an in-home oxygen hose minding system for individuals with respiratory ailments. The prototype provided intelligent control of excess hose from a user to an oxygen concentrator in order to help eliminate its potential to cause tripping and subsequent injury.

Bedsores Blocker Medical Device Golden MedTools

Developed as a means of reducing the risk of bedsores in sedentary individuals, the Bedsores Blocker provides variable support in order to easily vary pressure zones on a patients body. The product was designed to be used by caregivers or nurse practitioners to aid in the positioning and healing of the bedridden.

Camera Slider Personal ProjectConstructed a camera slider rig that manipulates a cameras position over time in order to create a second dimension of motion in time-lapse photography. This project incorporated elements of mechatronics and control systems with the added bonus of furthering my interest in photography.

Standing Assist Wheelchair Machine Design SJSU

Used principles of machine design to develop a wheelchair with built in standing assist. The idea was to create a product that could lessen the amount of effort needed to move a mobility impaired individual into or out of a standing position. The project incorporated stress and motion analysis.

Longboard Impact Guard Personal Project

Designed, analyzed, and fabricated custom crash guards for the Loaded Dervish longboard. These guards were developed as a sacrificial surface to reduce or eliminate potential damages to the board resulting from impacts with sidewalk curbs or other hard surfaces.
