E-Learning Day on Founders’ Day (8th April 2016) Greetings from KCPSS! With reference to our school letter dated 22 March 2016, the school has set aside 8 April 2016 as home E-Learning day for all Sec 1 to 5 students. This is line with the Ministry of Education’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) Masterplan on the use of ICT to bring about engaged and independent learning for students 2. On 8 April, from 8 am to 1 pm, all Sec 1 - 5 students are required to access the Internet to carry out E-Learning tasks set for them on the various school subjects. 3. The E-Learning tasks will involve the subjects as shown in the schedule at Annex A. At the end of each E-Learning task, students are required to submit their work online. To prepare the students, they will be given E-Learning guides on the use of the online e-learning platform (Annex B). 4. As the E-Learning requires the use of computers and the internet, the school will also be making available our school computing laboratory (Computer Lab 1) from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 pm so that students who do not have access to computers/internet at home can carry out the E-Learning in school. 5. We would like to enlist your support to monitor your child’s progress as we work towards a meaningful e-learning experience for KCPians. Annex B-1 Student e-Learning Guide for LMS (note e-Learning Guide for AceLearning is found in Annex B-2) Important message: If you encounter any difficulty in this LMS guide, refer to the FAQ provided in Annex B-3.

1. Go to the school website at this URL: http:// http://www.kcpss.moe.edu.sg using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0 and above and click on the Students quick link.

2. Login in to the Learning Management System (LMS) School Portal using the following User ID

and Password shown below.

3. You should see the following page below:

Step 2: Type in your NRIC No. if this is your first time using the LMS. Otherwise, type in your personal password.

Step 1: Key in your NRIC No. (eg: S1234567Z)

4. Once you have finished your eLearning package, remember to click on Summary Page.

5. Congratulation! You have completed one lesson package of your eLearning. Refer to the lesson schedule listed in point 6 of this guide.

Step 1: Check that you are on the Current Task tab.

Step 2: Click on the eLearning package assigned to you experience. Refer to the lesson schedule in point 6 of this guide.

Step 1: Click on the Summary page on the right side of you lesson package.

Important Step 2: Click on the Mark task as completed.

Annex B-3 Student eLearning FAQ 1. I have forgotten my Login ID:

You login ID is your NRIC number.

3. I do not have access to a computer or Internet access.

Students can make us of the school Computer Laboratory 1 on 8 April 2016. The Computer Laboratory 1 will be opened from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.

4. Is the eLearning compulsory? Yes, the completion of the eLearning will be recorded by the Learning Management System (LMS), AceLearning (for Mathematics), English Portal (for English) and iMTL(for MTL).

5. Where can I get the lasted update on the Student eLearning? The latest information on the Student eLearning will be broadcasted on the Login page of the Learning Management System (LMS), under Announcement.
