Hey there Key Clubbers, and happy November! Now that school is in full swing, it’s time to get your friends in on all of the fun! Thank you to every-one who has continued to be involved as we end this first quarter. We’ve already had several meet-ings as well as a bunch of service events. We can’t wait to see you guys at the upcoming events as well! We have a bunch of events coming up, like a Kent Works Party, fundraisers, and other volun-teer events. (Check our Facebook group!) Congratulations to all our wonderful reps! It has been amazing to see your dedication and passion and we are very excited to continue to work with you throughout the school year! If you have any fundraising ideas, community service events, or bonding ideas that you would like our club to do, don’t hesitate to contact an of-ficer! We’re always looking for new ways to give back to the community and help our club get closer. Don’t forget to check for updates on our Fa-cebook group, and to join the other Key Club Facebook groups of Divi-sion 32 and the Pacific Northwest District! Can’t wait to see you all at our next meeting (check emails and Facebook for dates). I’m so excited for the memories to come in the future with you guys. If you ever need anything, don’t forget that we Key Clubbers are here for you! Make sure to thank Danika for the beautiful newsletter, and stay toasty Key Clubbers ✌ In love and service,

As you all know, we recently elected our new Class Representatives. Each representative had to fill out an application and give a short speech in front of their peers. The people elected will now act as a liaison be-tween the officers and you as they will send out frequent emails as well as be open for direct discussion with you. These wonderful Representatives will also collect handbooks and take attendance at meetings. We are very excited to begin working with these wonderful people, congratulations to our new Class Representatives!

What it Key Leader? Key Leader is a weekend long leadership pro-

gram geared towards the youth leaders of today (that’s you)! The retreat

includes workshops, discussions, and team-building activities. Through-

out the weekend the attendees get to develop their skills as a leader and

make life-long friends!

This year some of Kentridge’s Key Club members attended. I think

they can all agree that it was an amazing experience. Check out what fel-

low Key Clubber Andrew Uyeta has to say: “Where do I even begin... Key leader was such an amazing experi-

ence from meeting new people to all the fun activities we did. I honestly

have to say the best moments of Key Leader for me where the outdoor

activities. Working together with your key leader friends and trying to

figure out how to pass the levels is the more satisfying feeling ever. This

place is just full of fun and excitement. The people their make you feel

like you are at home because everyone there is just like you. I've learned

so much their and I'm glad Jessica got me to go because this is some-

thing I'll never forget. I encourage anyone who wants to become a lead-

er or if you're shy... to GO! I consider myself a shy person but once I got

there I opened up and it gave me a different view on live. All in all Key

Leader is something you can't miss out on. See ya next time at KEY

LEADER!” - Andrew Uyeta

comes with school and the

end of the quarter. We are

blessed with a passionate and

hardworking club. Keep up

the good work!

I do want to throw out

there an important reminder

though. If you have signed up

for an event, please attend

the event. You guys have

been truly amazing, but there

has been a few times where

people don’t show up. We

understand stuff comes up,

but please let an officer know

We have had a blast

these past few months during

a variety of volunteer services.

From participating at our clas-

sics like NW Harvest, Kent

Parks, and Green Kent Day.

Or branching out and volun-

teering a spectacular events

such as Aki-Con and

KentHOPE, the club has really

been pulling through.

A huge thanks to all

who continue to volunteer

throughout the chaos that

This past week was probably the best week in existence…

Key Club Week! A huge thank you to all who sported your KC

gear! I hope you guys will continue to spread the joy and love

that comes with Key Club all year long.

Also thanks to those who participated in the potluck on

Friday and brought food or bid on an officer!

November Highl ights

November is the month of “thanks,” and we are most definitely thankful for our

amazing LTG! Last Thursday there was an amazing potluck DCM in the Kentridge Cafeteria.

The division gathered together to get a little festive with this Thanksgiving style potluck.

I am proud to announce that our

member of the month is Nikki Saefong!

Nikki has been working her butt off these

past few months. This girl is at most every

event, helping to get the job done and

keep everybody motivated, she is a power-

house. You can always count on Nikki to

get people pumped at an event and pro-

vide a few laughs. Nikki is an amazingly

passionate and dedicated Key Clubber as

well as a supportive and giving friend.

Thanks for all your hard work Nikki!

Shout out to those who brought food to both potlucks as well as those who contin-

ue to volunteer. A huge thanks to those who came to the Rep Elections and voted,

every vote counts and your participation helps to determine the future of the club.
