KPIS UTRAN ERICSSON

1. OBJETO

Este documento describe los indicadores y las frmulas asociadas necesarias, para evaluar la calidad de la red radio Ericsson, propuestos por el suministrador y estudiados en el grupo de trabajo de estadsticas.

Los indicadores propuestos cubren los servicios de voz, videotelefona, datos y streaming.

2. MBITO DE APLICACIN

UTRAN Ericsson con versin SW P2.1.5 CU1 - P2.1.6 CU5 - P2.1.6 CU6.

3. KPIS UTRAN ERICSSON

Call Completion

Se define como la probabilidad de soportar con xito una conexin desde el acceso hasta la desconexin normal por parte del usuario final.

Accesibilidad (RRC+RAB)

Se define como la probabilidad de establecer con xito una conexin para el servicio deseado.

Capacidad de retencin (1-CDR)

Se define como la probabilidad de que una conexin sea terminada adecuadamente (con xito) por el usuario final, una vez se haya garantizado su acceso a red.

Integridad

Se define como la probabilidad de que la conexin establecida se mantenga dentro de los mrgenes de calidad requerida, la cual es definida en trminos de BLER objetivo.

A parte de estos indicadores habituales, se han aadido al documento los siguientes:

Cell Update

La tasa de xito de actualizaciones de clula.

Indisponibilidad

La indisponibilidad a nivel de clula se puede medir en base a los tiempos en los que una clula se encuentra deshabilitada y no bloqueada por el administrador del sistema, habitualmente en forma de porcentaje a lo largo del da (24h)

3.1. Call Completion Success Rate (CCSR)

Se define como la probabilidad de soportar con xito una conexin, desde el acceso hasta la desconexin normal de la misma originada por el usuario final.

Es el resultado de multiplicar la tasa de xito de establecimiento de la conexin por la probabilidad de retencin de la misma.

Esta misma frmula aplica a todos los tipos de servicio (RAB).

3.2. Accesibilidad

La Tasa de Llamadas Establecidas con xito (CSSR) se define como el producto de la tasa de xito de establecimiento de la conexin RRC y la de establecimiento del RAB.

Contador a nivel de clula.

After an RRC Connection Request message is received by RNC, if not already known in the RNC, an internal UE identity is assigned to the requesting UE. Then RNC asks permission both from RNC Main Processor (MP) load control and admission control functions. Having received permission to continue, allocates a DL channelization code and then starts to set up a connection towards the RBS. Also the UE is requested to setup an RRC connection with RRC Connection Setupmessage. Once NBAP Radio Link Restore Indication message and RRC Connection Setup Complete message have been received by RNC, then the RRC connection is considered to be successfully established. The counter is now increased.

The counter is incremented by 1 for each RAB successfully setup or modified just before sending the RANAP RAB Assignment Response message to the CN.

Only releases triggered by Channel Switching based on low user activity are counted.The counter is increased in the cells where the UE is located if the UE is non-drifting that is counted for all cells if UE is in macro diversity but only for the cells that belong to the SRNC.

Se define como la probabilidad de ser capaz de soportar una llamada con la calidad requerida.

La calidad objetivo, est prefijada en trminos de BLER objetivo para el servicio.

This counter is increased when the RRC message Cell Update Confirm is sent to the UE. This happens if first a CELL UPDATE message is received in the SRNC. If it is a cell re-selection, a new C-RNTI must first be assigned and after sending of Cell Update

Confirm message, the response Utran Mobility Information

Confirm message must be received from UE to step the counter. The counter is increased for the cell where the Cell Update Confirm message was received (in the new cell if cell has changed). These cell update procedures can happen at cell update in same cell (periodic update), cell update in new cell (cell re-selection), cell update during channel switching and cell update during RAB establishment. The cases when an AM RLC error is detected at decoding of CELL UPDATE are not counted.

These cell update procedures can happen at cell update in same cell (periodic update), cell update in new cell (cell re-selection), cell update during channel switching and cell update during RAB establishment. The cases when an AM RLC error is detected at decoding are also counted. Note that only if the UE is non-drifting, or coming back from a DRNC, the counter can be increased.

The length of time during which a cell is unavailable for service because of Administration state being set to manual lock.

This counter is increased by 1 every second while cell or channel administration state is set to locked.

The counter will be increased whenever the Administration state of the cell and/or channel is 'locked', regardless of what the operational state of the cell or channel is.

This counter is increased if during an attempt to add an RL any of the following occur: admission is not granted, no DL channelization code is allocated, the RL Setup, or RL Addition procedure fails or times out in the RBS, the Active Set Update procedure fails or times out in the UE.

Note: This counter only monitors UEs in the SRNC.

This counter is increased when a new RL is successfully added to an active set. The counter is increased after a handover proposal has been received from the handover evaluation function, admission control has been granted, DL channelization code has been allocated for the new cell, RL Setup or RL Addition procedure is successfully completed with the RBS, the Active Set Update procedure is successfully completed with the UE, the necessary ATM resources have been set up between RBS and RNC, and the appropriate parameters are available.

Note: This counter only monitors RLs for cells in the SRNC. If an RL is replaced in an active set, this counter is increased for the cell which is added.
