By incorporating some extra accessories and special appliances into your kitchen, you can really transform the space into a functional paradise. Below are our top five must haves that can truly make your designer kitchen special.

1. Drawers

They don’t have to be boring – get creative and maximise your space! Pantry and inner drawers are a great space maximiser, while sink drawers create additional storage where there is normally lost space around the sink. Corner drawers are great for awkward kitchen spaces, providing plenty of storage by falling deep into the corner of your bench.

2. Integration

Fridges, freezers and dishwashers can be integrated into your kitchen cabinetry for that furniture-style look. This can be especially important with open floor plans, when you can see your kitchen from other rooms in your home. Keep your rubbish out of sight too, with pull-out bins - a practical solution which slides out from under your kitchen bench.

3. Wire-Ware Storage

Custom-built cabinetry means you can take advantage of every inch of your cabinet space. Incorporate pull-outs beside your oven that are perfect to house your spices, towels and trays; or pantry pull-outs that will help you de-clutter your pantry and easily access what you need.

4. Electric Accessories

Pop-up power docks are perfect to plug into that extra appliance on your island bench, and neatly disappear when you don’t need them, while LEDs make for great accent lighting and provide extra glow in your workspace. Roller shutters let you easily conceal areas while still remaining super accessible.

5. Built-In Appliances

Built-in appliances like a wall steam oven, wine fridge and even a coffee machine are often considered luxury items to add to your kitchen. But when incorporated into the overall design and their placement well considered, they can really allow you to create an efficient kitchen workspace, while providing a seamless appearance.

When you stepped into our clients original kitchen, you were briefly taken back in time to the late 80’s, early 90’s, with

multi-coloured laminated panels, laminated benchtops with timber edging and vinyl floors. We injected some life back into the heart of our clients home, designing, building and

installing a brand new kitchen on a budget.

In a central area of the home and an open plan environment, this kitchen oozes minimalist style. Neutral tones were used so that the space blends effortlessly with its surrounds.
