POSTPONED!

Infants Athletics Carnival 2017

DUE TO THE WET WEATHER OUR INFANTS

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL IS POSTPONED TO

MONDAY 19th JUNE.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Fiona Burgess

Girls Touch Team Get a Win

Big congratulations to our girls touch team who

played against a strong Singleton Heights Public

School team to come away with a win of 5-1.

KSPS Cross Country Stars

Last Friday 5 of our talented runners went to

compete in the Regional stage of the NSW Cross

Country Competition. Megan and Paris ran in the 11

years age group against some tough competition

finishing in the first half of their groups. Brandon

placed 9th in the 10 year boys and Ava placed 12th in

the 12 year girls. We are very proud of all these

students.

Elise came in 3rd place in the 10 year girls so is off to

represent the region at the State Carnival.

Congratulations.

Fantastic Sportsmanship at PSSA Soccer

On Friday our girls PSSA Soccer team played

Singleton Public School at Alroy Oval. Our goalie,

Kayla M, made amazing saves in the first and

second half of the game. Our strikers Chloe B and

Mikayla E had some hard chases and it looked as

though we were going to score a few times. In

defence, Rasharna S helped with some big boots

back towards our goals. Issy G managed to dribble

the ball straight down the sideline back into King

Street territory. All of the girls play exceptionally and

have worked hard to bond as a great team. We

played our best and showed fantastic sportsmanship

but by the final whistle the score was 4-0 to

Singleton Public School. Great job to all of the girls! Special thank you to our girl’s coach Miss

Hayley Frazer, for volunteering her time with the

girl’s team.

The Boys PSSA Soccer team were matched against

Singleton Heights Public School. Charlie M had

some great tackles during the first half and helped

us gain possession of the ball quite a few times.

Lachlan F and William P were demonstrating great

ball control up near our goal line and came really

close to scoring. Morgan T was great in defence,

which lead to Singleton Heights kicking the ball out.

Our unstoppable defensive line up stopped the

Heights team from scoring any goals in the second

half. The boys played hard and fair but on final

whistle went down 3-0 to the opposing team. Great

effort from all of the boys, none of them giving up

until the game was over. We would like to thank Mr

Stacy for his dedication and effort in preparing our

boys team, he will be missed next year.

Please Join our P&C for our Quad

Improvement Walk Around

Our hard working P&C are donating their fundraising

profits for this year to make improvements to the

quad area. A large TV has already been purchased

and will show photos, PBL messages and reminders

for the school community to view. The aim is to

make the quad a visibly welcoming place as well as

provide suitable games and activities for our

students to participate in in this area.

We are having a walk around to brainstorm ideas for

these improvements this Friday at 10.30am and

invite any of our interested parent/carers to join us.

The P&C has also pledged $570 to the library to

purchase this year's Book Council of Australia award

winning books.

Thank you to all our P&C who continually put in so

much effort to assist our beautiful school.

Starstruck Sundae Funday

Our Starstruck performers would like to say a big

thankyou to everyone that brought sundaes at lunch

time for their fundraiser.

All money raised will go to helping cover the overall

costs of Starstruck.

Tickets are available at Ticketek on 02 4921 2121.

McDonald’s Singleton Kind Book Donation McDonald’s community relations staff go regularly to

our local library read stories and kindly donate books

to local schools. This week Amy from Singleton

McDonalds came to donate 3 books to our KSPS

library. We would like to thank them for this kind

donation.

Keeping our Kids ‘Road’ Safe

any time. These are generally in the more

high risk areas.

stopping in the School Drop off/Pick up zone.

The area immediately outside the

Kindergarten gate is not to be used to drop

off children. This is a ‘No Stopping’ area.

It is illegal to drop off or pick up children in

the middle of the road.

loss of 2 demerit points applies if you park or

stop on or near:
