Who?

Henry was the Lord of Ireland before becoming King. His full name is Henry Tudor, and he was a strong fierce gambler at that time. Grenewich, which is now Greenwich, was his favorite home.

FUN FACT

Did you know that Henry had pet dog, ferrets, and birds? Even his wife, Katherine of Aragon, had her pet monkey follow her everywhere.

Where? Henry was crowned with his wife at

Westminster Abbey, London.

Did you know that Henry was the 1st English king to be called ‘Your Majesty’? Before, all monarchs were addressed ‘Your Grace’ or ‘Your Highness’!!!

What?

Henry was crowned as King of England. He was previously Lord of Ireland.

FUN FACT

Did you know that Henry had 6 wifes? He beheaded 2, divorced 2, and 1 died. Only 1 survived.

When?

Henry was crowned on the 21st of June, 1509.This is the symbol of the Tudor Dynasty.

Why? Henry became king to pass-down the Tudor

family’s royalty from his father, Henry VII, and became a successor of his family.
