writing K-I-L-L on my hot pink t-shirts as a joke. Everyone was making fun of my hot pink t-shirts so I just tried to make them a little tougher. I was spray painting them for about the first three months and just giving them to everybody and I was like, Wow, kids really like it. This was in 2002. It wasn’t easy. I don’t even think there was like Myspace back then. That’s basically how I started slingin T-shirts out of the back of the van that I was on tour with and breaking even on every shirt.”- Jonny Smith (Kill Brand Founder)

Johnny is an ex drummer for band Tokyo Rose and started Kill Brand out of his parents basement in New Jersey with absolutely no business education.
