W1 • Unanimous decision that the recipe book would be our product. • Established a mentor with skills in graphic design and publishing• Market Research in Whakatane and Opotiki

W2 • Organised quotes from three printers.• Appointment with lawyer about copyright.

W3 • Sourced recipes and typed them up. • Appointed a Maori translator • Appointed Te Rau Press as our printer company.• Visited Te Rau Press to check samples of their work.

W4 • Negotiated a three month payment plan with the printer.• Continued preparation of the book. • Translated the recipes into Maori.• Proof reading both English and Maori. • Designed a template for InDesign.

W5 • Started placing recipes in book order. • Selected photos for the book.

W6 • Planned the layout for the book.

W7 • Finished the book layout. Proof reading for mistakes. • Exported the Indesign files to PDF format. • Uploaded the book to the printer via FTP

W8/10 • Received the Proofs from Te Rau Press - final check for colour and quality. • Waiting for the printer to finish the print run.
