This includes learning four distinct platforms including Crimson Care Management, Crimson Population Risk Management, Crimson Quality Reporting and Crimson Continuum of Care. Customize complex narratives during the RFP process to help the team close new business. I have been directly involved in the closing of over $3 million of newly booked business in 2015.

Crimson Care Management January 2014 – September 2014Crimson Care Management is a robust workflow engine that enables the real-time care management of patient populations across all levels of care. In this role I accomplished the following: Served as an Advisory Board psychiatric expert assisting our Research and Insights division,

Strategic Marketing Division, and have been nationally published in our Care Transformation Expert Center.

Responsible for project management and implementation of software suite for large academic medical centers, ACO’s, health systems and medical homes.

Responsible for crafting complex workflow plans to manage populations such as the self-insured, ACO members, quality outcome populations at skilled nursing facilities, and complex care populations.

Facilitated the integration of numerous source systems to map to the CCM platform to fully ensure members derive value to efficiently manage patient care. This includes ADT, HL7 feeds, electronic health records, etc.

Crimson Continuum of Care September 2011 – December 2013 A product designed to engage physicians in care transformation. Worked with over 10 national systems and 50 regional hospitals. Responsible for being a strategic thought partner to the program’s executive colleagues, focused on ensuring that members achieved their strategic objectives and realized their performance improvement goals. Supported a book of business worth over $3.5 million in contract value Authored over twenty case studies, eight of which were featured at the Crimson Clinical Advantage

National Summit in 2013. Case studies represented over $10 million in performance improvement. Successfully engaged and presented to hundreds of executives and physician leaders on the

utilization of the software and inspired them to engage in actionable and aggressive performance improvement projects.

Adventist Behavioral Health | Rockville, MD 1999 – 2011Director of Care Management November 2009 – September 2011Previously worked in a 100 bed acute care free standing psychiatric hospital. This included inpatient acute care for adolescents, children, geriatrics, involuntarily committed, and military detoxification services. ABH also provided residential services for adolescent sex offender, and adolescent males and females. Services also included PHP and IOP for mental health and substance abuse.

Oversaw an interdisciplinary team comprised of nurses, social workers and chemical dependency counselors to ensure proper authorization and comprehensive review of medically necessary care.

Worked with senior leadership with Maryland Medicaid to manage complex cases statewide and reduced inpatient LOS by over 30% and readmissions by 13% over a two-year time period.

Responsible for capturing data including but not limited to, average length of stay, readmission rates, appeals, denials, payer mix and physician conduct.

After crafting a new Appeals process, our denial rate was reduced to less than 1% and we recovered almost $2 million dollars in outstanding claims through streamlining the clinical appeals process.

Appeals Coordinator January 2008 – November 2009 Responsible for writing medical appeals to overturn denied days in order to strengthen positive cash

flow. Reviewed all denied in-house cases and advised the treatment team on how to improve

documentation, help facilitate a timely discharge if needed, and gather information for a viable clinical appeal.

Call Specialist May 2001 – September 2011 Facilitated hospital to hospital psychiatric inpatient admissions. Reviewed and relayed clinical information, and coordinated admissions with the appropriate

programs. Fielded informational and crisis calls to the hospital’s direct line. Provided call management for our 24 hour suicide hotline service including our Emergency

Department.

Utilization Review Care Manager January 2005 - January 2008 Responsible for the review and presentation of all clinical cases on an inpatient acute care unit for

adolescents. Duties included chart auditing, live reviews with insurance companies, daily meetings with the

treatment team regarding appropriateness of treatment, and presenting clinical case presentations to groups of my peers.

Discharge Planner Coordinator May 2003 - December 2004 Duties included working with outside agencies to coordinate placement, follow-up care, and working

with the treatment team to problem solve cases with disposition difficulties. Worked closely with patient and family members to ensure they were clear and comfortable with their

aftercare to ensure they successful transitions to different levels of care

Mental Health Worker, Correctional Medical Services October 2000 - August 2003 Responsible during weekend hours for a 30 bed forensic unit for acutely/chronically mentally-ill

inmates in a maximum security international jail with up to 650 inmates. Main duties included initial assessments, medication management, individual and group counseling,

suicide interventions, and inmate placement. Also initiated treatment and discharge plans.
