Announcements

2012 Budget - The Finance Committee will be presenting the 2012 budget to the church on Sunday, November 6th with discussion set for Wednesday, November 9th and voting on Sunday, November 13th. Please keep the Finance Committee in prayer as we prepare a budget that is pleasing to God. Painting - Your help is needed! Both of the church offices and Conference Room will be painted the first two Saturdays in November. So, please come out and help. Poinsettias - It is time to order Poinsettias for the Sanctuary! Please see today’s insert. Knightdale Church Alliance News - I recently met with Adrian Dixon (Northside Community Church) and Bryan Siefert (Knightdale United Methodist Church) to discuss the future of the Knightdale Church Alliance. This alliance has been in place for a number of years and it was time for us to discuss where we had been and where we are now. After much discussion, it was our conclusion that the time had come to re-evaluate the alliance’s purpose and effectiveness. Therefore, we have decided not to have the annual Thanksgiving Community service this year. There were a couple of reasons for this. First, one of the other churches had already scheduled a church-wide event for that day. Secondly, it was our feeling that attendance for this, and the Holy week services, has been waning and so the decision was made. The plan is to get together after KBC calls our new pastor in hopes of gaining a fresh perspective on the purpose of the alliance and explore possible community outreach opportunities which would involve more people from our churches. Yours in Christ, Hal
