This project started by exploring and developing the exterior of a

cube through a series of eight transformations. From there I constructed a series of spaces

within the cube while applying the concepts of enclosure, circulation,

structure, threshold, and destination to the object. TH

The purpose of this assignment was to develop my own method of inquiry.

To do so, I researched and studied Robert Venturi’s,

Vanna Venturi House through a series of writings,

drawings, and models.

As an extension to the precedent study, the challenge was to design an addition to the existing building

(the Vanna Venturi House) that utilized the same design concepts

as applied by the original architect (Robert Venturi). I accomplished

this with the use of ribbon windows, various arch designs and

overall sense of space.

This project challenged me to create a boathouse/club

house facility utilizing the entire area of the given site.

This was a semester-long project requiring a full site

and building analysis.

This assignment challenged my ability to create a model

from photographs with no given dimensions. The model

had to be to scale as best as possible while still applying my skills in model-making.

I produced this model as an internship for the

Housing Assistance Corporation in Hyannis,

took me a little over 2 months to complete. TH
