Executive Summary

HighlightsAn ADTP Karaoke is a event set to bring students together. Unlike the typical group karaokes, an ADTP karaoke would

divide the attendees into groups of four (all together being ten groups), where each group would have to discuss and select

one (or more) songs that they wish to sing. Given only four microphones, each person in the group would be given a mic.

The best group would be given prizes (tentatively Red box/food vouchers).

VenueRed Box, Sunway Pyramid. Two big rooms would be allocated for forty of our target attendees. One room, capable of

fitting more than 40 people) would be used to fit twenty attendees.

Operations

Pre-EventBefore the event commences, David and Katherine are to be at Red Box at 11.00 am in the morning to confirm the

booking of both the karaoke rooms. (Two) committee members are to be standing (or sitting) at the entrance with the list of

attendees to ensure a smooth flow. Although the attendees themselves have to hand in their student ID at the registration

table, the ushers at the entrance help regulate the traffic of attendees by grouping, and also phone the attendees.

(Two) committee members also with the list of attendees are to be standing in front of both the karaoke rooms, which are

adjacent to each other. Every member in the group would be given a number. For example, every member in group number

one should have a number on their shirt. A pen and two sheets of paper would be passed to the attendees. One of the

paper states the song request, and the other states food order. The ushers would be instructing the attendees to be

“seated with their group members” and “to fill in the papers given to them.”

EventThe event will be divided into three segments: one being the group segment, second being the prize segment, and third

being the free segment.

Group SegmentThe group segment is when a group stands and performs three songs requested by them. If the song(s) requested by them

is/are not found in the system, they may request another song.

During this segment, Katherine and David are to be chairing and emcee-ing the session to explain to the attendees the

three segments. (One) committee member would be in charge of the remote control to select the songs requested by the

attendees, while (One) other committee member would be collected the sheets of paper by the groups. The food order is

then passed to the waiter, while the song request is passed to the committee member in charge of the remote control.

When any song is not found in the system, the group of that song request would be informed. They may be passed the

remote control to select another song.

Prize SegmentThe prize segment is when prizes are given out to the top 3 groups who are voted.

Before the prize giving, another sheet of paper is passed out to every one for them to vote which group sung the best. The

prizes remain tentative.

Free SegmentThe free segment is when every one is allowed to do anything they want.
